Our team and tech stack
As we are growing rapidly, we are looking for a new colleague to join our development team in Copenhagen and play a crucial role in taking our front-end development standards to the next level by focusing on creating a functional and attractive digital environment for NIS customers, ensuring a great user experience.
You will be part of a department with developers located in both Denmark and Poland and customers around the globe, and work closely together with other departments during the development process. We value teamwork, with great emphasis on team. Collaboration and shared product ownership are the keys to our success, and each team member contributes equally towards reaching our shared goals.
To create our solutions, we use a wide range of technologies and languages like TypeScript, React and GraphQL in the frontend, and our backend is primarily based on .NET Core.
You contribute in developing features to our newest applications, which will be a central part of our product offering in the future. It is expected that you have a great deal of ownership and influence on the defining solutions and your own tasks.
Your contribution to the Development team
- You have experience developing features in React using TypeScript.
- You’ve worked with multiple frameworks in the JS ecosystem and understand how they work behind the scenes
- You understand perfectly how the DOM and virtual DOM works and how to interact with it.
- You have proven understanding of HTTP and issues you can encounter around it (CORS, Caching…)
- You can architect a full front-end application
- You master the devtools required to debug an application and improve performance.
- You enjoy whiteboarding problems with your peers and applying the scientific method to find a pragmatic solution that is the best fit for the identified problem space.
- You can influence your team without authority. You explain your views well to others and actively listen to ensure a good discussion.
- You decompose projects into smaller units that can be delivered iteratively.
To succeed in the role, you have the following qualifications
You are passionate about front-end development and have experience with React, in addition to this you have experience within HTML, CSS and TypeScript. If you have experience with GraphQL it is a plus.
You have a relevant IT education, for example computer scientist, Bachelor in web development or similar. The most important thing is your skills and that you have a high drive to create high quality solutions, as well as work independently designing and writing quality and testable code.
You have a structured approach to your tasks, and you are not afraid to challenge your colleagues.

Our office is centrally placed at Østerbro, with a great view of the Copenhagen rooftop skyline. However, work structures are flexible regarding both working hours and working from home, and we ultimately aim to create an environment that balances each employees’ best working conditions with a dynamic and collaborative team atmosphere. Additionally, we are in the process of expanding our global operations into the Asia/Pacific region, which with our Toronto, London, Wroclaw and Copenhagen offices will provide a 24/7 support structure for our customers. Finally, our target markets are rapidly changing to adapt to a newly digital ecosystem, and as a result innovation and developing new, innovative products and customer solutions will be at the forefront of our corporate initiatives going forward.
